According to Jinangun on the 29th, the Meditation Forest Creation Project is a project that creates spaces for rest and learning activities by installing trees, herbaceous plants, and other landscaping facilities in leftover and surrounding spaces within schools.
The county selects one school each year and promotes the project through agreements for stable maintenance and management.
This year, at Donghyang Middle School, 43 trees of 6 species including Ipap trees and 2,265 plants of 10 species including Boxwood were planted, and a walking trail was created to make a green resting place where the four seasons can be felt.
A county official said, "We will continue to create environmentally friendly learning spaces and foster the emotional development of youth through the creation of meditation forests," adding, "We will also strive to make these spaces actively used for communication and leisure by local residents."

Meanwhile, Jinangun has created meditation forests at eight schools including Korea Korean Medicine High School since 2010.
