NCSoft to Resume Normal Work System Starting May
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] NCSoft, which had implemented a four-day workweek due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), will return to normal work starting next month.
On the 28th, NCSoft announced that from April 4th, it will switch to a regular work schedule and implement a fully flexible commuting system.
The transition to a regular work schedule comes after two months. NCSoft implemented company-wide paid special leave from February 27 to March 6, during the early stages of the COVID-19 outbreak. From March 9, a rotating work-from-home system was implemented, and in April, a four-day workweek was maintained for one month.
The fully flexible commuting system, introduced alongside the return to regular work, is a measure to reduce work density. The existing commuting hours (7 a.m. to 11 a.m.) and the basic working hours (4 hours per day) are lifted, allowing employees to set their own commuting times.
