Ansan 8th Confirmed Case, Reconfirmed 14 Days After Discharge
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 28th that A (27), a resident of Hwaseong City who was discharged after being declared fully recovered from the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), tested positive again after 14 days.
A, the 8th confirmed case in the Ansan area, was diagnosed with COVID-19 at Danwon Hospital in Ansan on the 24th of last month and was admitted to Gyeonggi Medical Center Icheon Hospital. A completed isolation treatment and was discharged on the 14th.
After discharge, A was under self-quarantine for two weeks at home in Saesol-dong, Hwaseong City, following the recommendation of epidemiological investigators. However, a diagnostic test conducted before the end of the quarantine period confirmed a reinfection.
