On the 28th, Kwon Ki-hong, chairman of the Win-Win Growth Committee, held an inauguration ceremony for the 30 members of the 5th Win-Win Growth Committee, including KT President Koo Hyun-mo and Sinsung ENG CEO Lee Ji-sun, ahead of the 51st meeting held at the Sheraton Seoul Palace Gangnam Hotel in Seocho-gu, Seoul. They will serve from the 17th of this month until April 16, 2022.
The 5th Win-Win Growth Committee consists of 10 representatives of large and medium-sized enterprises recommended by economic organizations and related institutions, 10 representatives of small and medium enterprises, and 9 experts from academia and research sectors representing the public interest, including Chairman Kwon.
As small and medium enterprise members, CEOs from 10 companies including Kosamat, Korea McNulty, and Gangneung Chodang Tofu participate to represent small and medium enterprises and small business owners.
This year, the committee plans to focus on ▲establishing a private-led win-win cooperation ecosystem ▲spreading the effects of win-win growth through the advancement of evaluation systems ▲operating suitable business sectors for small and medium enterprises and livelihood-type suitable business sectors ▲supporting win-win cooperation to protect the business areas of small and micro enterprises.
In particular, due to the national disaster situation caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the announcement of the 2019 Win-Win Growth Index evaluation results (for 200 companies) is scheduled to be postponed until September this year. For the 2020 Win-Win Growth Index evaluation, improvements to evaluation indicators will be pursued to reflect companies' voluntary win-win growth efforts amid Japan's export regulations and the COVID-19 outbreak.
Additionally, to protect the business areas of small and micro enterprises and to establish an autonomous win-win cooperation ecosystem between large and small-medium enterprises, the committee plans to focus on win-win cooperation support tasks such as preparing a standard draft for win-win cooperation agreements. It will also support small and medium enterprises operating suitable business sectors by providing new payment methods and kiosks to improve management environments and strengthen competitiveness.
Regarding the designation recommendation of livelihood-type suitable business sectors for small business owners, the committee resolved to review the designation recommendation for "Other printed materials (offset printing industry)" and submit a recommendation letter to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
