Government to Select 247 Private Sector Professionals for Grade 5 and 7 Positions in Big Data and More... Announcement on the 29th
[Asia Economy Reporter Son Seon-hee] The government plans to select 247 national public officials with private sector experience at grades 5 and 7 (72 at grade 5, 175 at grade 7) who possess specialized capabilities in new technology fields related to public safety, such as infectious disease investigation and disease control, food safety, and big data.
The Ministry of Personnel Management announced on the 28th that it finalized the "2020 National Public Officials Grade 5 and 7 Private Sector Experience Batch Recruitment Examination Implementation Plan" with these details and will post the specifics on the Cyber National Examination Center.
The "Private Sector Experience Batch Recruitment Examination" was introduced in 2011 for grade 5 and in 2015 for grade 7 public officials to select private experts with diverse experience, aiming to enhance openness and professionalism in public service and strengthen fairness in recruitment. As of last year, a total of 1,469 people have been selected and are working in over 40 government ministries.
Applicants with private sector experience must meet at least one of three requirements?work experience, degree, or certification?set for each selection unit.
Applications will be accepted online (via the Cyber National Examination Center) from the 16th to the 23rd of next month. The written exam (PSAT) will be held on July 25, followed by document screening in September and interviews in November, with the final successful candidates announced in December.
