Professor Kang Sumi of Dongduk Women's University Department of Painting, Publishes 'Da-Gong Art'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Professor Kang Sumi of the Department of Painting at Dongduk Women's University has published "Dagongyesul: The Performative Communication Structure and Social Networking of Korean Contemporary Art." While newly establishing the concept of Dagong, the book comprehensively maps Korean art from 2000 to the present and expands it to overseas art, examining the networking between them. The author stated, "As art evolves, and consequently the perspectives for interpreting art inevitably evolve as well, this book will serve as a large and intricate small guide for audiences and readers to understand contemporary art."
