"To Attend Professional Baseball Games in Person" ... Seoul City Gathers Opinions Through Citizen Deliberation
Until May 23... Proposal results will also be delivered to KBO and teams
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] What preparations are necessary for baseball fans to once again enjoy 'direct viewing' (watching the game in person) at the stadium?
On the 28th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it will create a platform to share various opinions on the quarantine measures that the KBO and the city need to prepare for thorough spectator attendance, as well as the rules that baseball fans themselves must follow in various places and situations from the moment they leave home to watch the game until they return.
The KBO is set to open the professional baseball season with games held without spectators starting from the 5th of next month, and plans to gradually allow spectators as the risk of COVID-19 decreases in the future.
This public discussion will take place until May 30th on Seoul's citizen participation platform 'Democracy Seoul (http://democracy.seoul.go.kr)'. Any citizen can participate, and if more than 1,000 people join, the Mayor of Seoul will respond directly.
The discussion can be joined in the 'Seoul Asks' section within Democracy Seoul. Citizens' opinions on safe professional baseball viewing measures will also be shared with the KBO and Seoul-based teams to supplement quarantine measures for direct viewing.
