Samsung Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong sells Itaewon land to his brother for 24.7 billion KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] It has been confirmed that Lee Jae-yong (52), Vice Chairman of Samsung Electronics, sold a single-family house site in Itaewon to his sister Lee Seo-hyun (47), Chairwoman of the Samsung Welfare Foundation, for 24.7 billion KRW.
According to the Supreme Court registry copy on the 27th, Vice Chairman Lee sold a total of five adjacent land parcels, including the site, to Chairwoman Lee on the 8th for 24.73581 billion KRW. The total area of the site is 1,647㎡, sold at about 50 million KRW per 3.3㎡. It is reported that Chairwoman Lee paid the full amount in cash.
The site was originally purchased by Vice Chairman Lee in 1992. However, he never actually resided there, and the house on the site was demolished in 2018, leaving the land vacant.
