Gwangju City Announces Recruitment for Family-Friendly Management Support Project for SMEs
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Gwangju Metropolitan City Work-Family Balance Support Headquarters announced on the 27th that it will promote the ‘2020 Family-Friendly Management Support Project’ to spread a family-friendly management culture among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
This family-friendly management support project, which is the only one nationwide targeting SMEs, is being conducted for the second time following last year, expanding support from 10 companies last year to 20 companies this year.
The project is implemented with the purpose of creating a happy workplace for both workers and business owners and making a workplace that is good for having and raising children through family-friendly management.
When SMEs apply with their own programs that can activate family-friendly management, a screening committee composed of external experts reviews and selects them, and each selected company receives 2 million won (Gwangju Win-Win Card).
The application fields are ▲ workplaces good for raising children ▲ support for work-life balance ▲ improvement of workplace culture, and SMEs registered for employment insurance within Gwangju city are eligible to apply.
Family-friendly certified companies, companies that comply with maternal and paternal rights, and companies practicing work-life balance receive additional points during screening, and especially companies that utilized family care leave in response to COVID-19 in 2020 are given preferential treatment.
Companies operating programs using the support funds can receive additional points during the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family’s family-friendly certification evaluation, and can also receive free linkage to various corporate support projects of the Work-Family Balance Support Headquarters such as consulting, workplace education, and cultural program support.
The application period is from the 25th to the 28th of next month, and application forms and submission documents can be found in the announcements on the Gwangju city website or the Work-Family Balance Headquarters website.
