Jinan-gun, Temporary Living Facility to Home Transfer Service for Overseas Arrivals
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] Jinangun, Jeonbuk Province, has launched special management for overseas entrants to block community infections caused by overseas entrants.
According to Jinangun on the 27th, to prevent the inflow of COVID-19 infection from overseas, Jeonbuk Province is admitting overseas entrants to the Jeonbuk Human Resources Development Institute, a temporary living facility where they can stay briefly, and conducting COVID-19 tests within 3 days. Jinangun provides transportation services to self-quarantine locations by Jinangun Public Health Center ambulances or official vehicles if the test result is negative.
Two weeks of mandatory self-quarantine is enforced, and a dedicated public official is assigned on a one-to-one basis to monitor twice a day.
So far, there have been no confirmed cases or contacts, and a total of 40 people have been transported for self-quarantine, averaging 2 to 3 people per day.
They are provided with thermometers, masks, and disinfectants, as well as emergency food sets (ramyeon, Hetbahn, etc.) supported by the Korean Red Cross Relief and Welfare Team.
Since the 23rd, specimen collection and test requests have been conducted one day before the end of self-quarantine, and only those who test negative are released from quarantine.
