KT Develops '5G Jaetaek Call Center'... Pilot Application in Corporate Customer Centers
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT has completed the development of a solution called ‘5G Jutaek Call Center’ that enables easy ‘call center’ work from home and will conduct a pilot application.
According to KT on the 27th, the 5G Jutaek Call Center is a solution that provides the same network environment as a call center anywhere nationwide through an app as long as you have a smartphone. After running the 5G Jutaek Call Center app and connecting the smartphone and laptop via tethering, preparation for consultation work is complete.
Currently, call center agents must take the work PC and ‘consultation IP phone’ used in the office to their homes to work remotely. To use this PC, a separate wired security device must be installed, a VPN program must be installed, and the PC environment must be configured according to the assigned tasks, involving a complicated process.
The biggest feature of this solution is that agents can safely transmit sensitive information to the computer system. The ‘EMG’ technology is applied to the solution, providing agents with a ‘call center dedicated network’ completely separated from the general network used by customers.

KT will pilot this solution starting on the 28th with 10 agents at its ‘Enterprise Customer Consulting Center’ to commercialize it as quickly as possible due to the increased risk of group infection among call center agents caused by the COVID-19 issue. Kim Bong-gi, Director (Executive Director) of KT Platform Research Institute, said, “By applying KT’s 5G platform technology to the call center field, we can provide agents with a remote work service that enhances mobility and security.” He added, “Starting with the 5G Jutaek Call Center, 5G Mobile Office, and 5G Smart Factory, we will continuously develop and lead the market with integrated wired and wireless enterprise platform technologies fused with 5G in various corporate products.”
