Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy Hosts Online Job Fair for Mid-sized Companies... "Supporting Recruitment of Over 300 People"
Conducted for 3 Weeks Starting from May 18
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced on the 27th that it will hold the '2020 Mid-sized Companies Online (Non-face-to-face) Job Fair' on the 18th of next month in collaboration with the Korea Federation of Mid-sized Enterprises and IBK Industrial Bank of Korea. This is to revitalize the frozen job market due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to support recruitment by excellent mid-sized companies.
Thirty outstanding mid-sized companies, including Danal, Neowiz, Huons, and Osstem Implant, have applied to participate.
The Ministry plans to continuously discover mid-sized companies with new recruitment plans and support the hiring of more than 300 talents in total.
The fair will be conducted entirely non-face-to-face from resume submission to acceptance notification through a video-based recruitment platform application developed by a domestic startup, unlike past on-site fairs.
Non-face-to-face interviews will replace on-site interviews by answering pre-set questions via video, and real-time in-depth interviews will be supported if necessary. A live recruitment briefing session will be operated through a YouTube channel to help resolve questions about recruitment information.
An official from the Ministry said, "We expect high participation from job seekers who are familiar with mobile and self-video recording," and added, "We plan to focus on introducing excellent mid-sized companies that provide quality jobs, such as technology and innovation-oriented outstanding companies (World Class 300, companies selected as global top products) and companies with excellent employment and labor-management culture (Best Job Companies, companies with excellent labor-management culture, etc.)."
