Daewoo E&C Partners with Samsung Electronics to Build Next-Generation Smart Home
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] Daewoo E&C has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Samsung Electronics to build next-generation smart homes.
Through this collaboration, both companies will enable easy control of devices such as lighting, heating, and smart appliances within the household via applications and voice recognition, whether inside or outside the home.
Based on the diverse preferences and needs of residents, a ‘Scenario Mode’ reflecting individual lifestyle patterns will be provided to offer more convenient smart home services to residents.
They will also introduce appliance care services that preemptively detect and notify users of malfunctions and consumable statuses based on smart appliance usage patterns, as well as technology that monitors abnormal movements by detecting object motion without invading privacy and blocks external intrusions.
Utilizing Samsung Electronics’ smart home platform ‘SmartThings,’ various services such as enhanced security and crime prevention, air quality care, energy saving, and 3rd party integration will be developed within the Prugio complex.
