[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] A 36-year-old woman in Gangnam-gu, who had been self-isolating after being declared recovered from COVID-19, tested positive again on the 26th.
The confirmed case, residing in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, initially tested positive on the 18th and was hospitalized for treatment. After testing negative, she was discharged on the 23rd. However, on the 25th, she underwent retesting due to shortness of breath and squeezing chest pain, and tested positive again on the morning of the 26th.
Since the confirmed case was under self-isolation, there is no movement within the local area.
Gangnam-gu also reported that among 146 contacts of another confirmed case from a different region at the Andaz Seoul Gangnam Hotel in Nonhyeon-dong, 97 tested negative. One person who was departing overseas (Philippines) was notified to the respective embassy, and the remaining contacts are undergoing testing.
They added that there have been cases where individuals who tested negative before self-isolation later tested positive after completing the two-week quarantine period, so please do not be complacent if you have no symptoms during isolation.
