Nearly 60 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported on the cruise ship 'Costa Atlantica,' which is docked in Nagasaki, Japan. The total number of confirmed cases is expected to reach around 150.
According to NHK and others on the 25th, Nagasaki Prefecture decided to conduct COVID-19 tests on all 623 crew members after the first confirmed case was reported on the cruise ship on the 20th. The cruise ship has no passengers on board, only crew members, including one Korean national serving as a crew member.
Among the approximately 300 people tested up to the previous day, 91 were confirmed positive for COVID-19. In subsequent tests, nearly 60 new cases were confirmed. As a result, the cumulative number of confirmed cases is expected to reach about 150.
