Gwangju Dong-gu, 2nd Youth Win-Win Soaring Project Contest
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 24th that it is recruiting participants for the ‘2nd Dong-gu Youth Win-Win Soaring Project,’ which is proposed and executed directly by youth.
This recruitment is the second youth project promoted as part of the Youth Financial Allocation System project, a pledge of the 7th local government, and supports project expenses so that young people can directly implement the ideas they propose.
This year, under the theme of ‘Various public interest activities to solve youth or local community problems,’ various projects will be carried out throughout Dong-gu for six months starting in June, with support of up to 5 million KRW.
Eligibility for application is a group or team of three or more youths aged 39 or younger who reside in Dong-gu or are enrolled or employed in Dong-gu as of the announcement date. The application period is until the 6th of next month.
Teams wishing to participate can refer to the related forms in the ‘Notices’ section on the Dong-gu website, fill out the application form and required documents, and submit them in person to the Youth Sports Division.
The district office plans to select up to five projects through document and presentation evaluations and hold a contract ceremony next month. At the year-end performance sharing meeting, certificates of commendation will be awarded to outstanding teams.
