Chosun University Launches First Operation of 'Employment Success Academy'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University announced on the 24th that it will operate the ‘2020 Employment Success Academy,’ which combines the most desired employment support programs for students and graduates preparing for employment, for the first time this year.
The Employment Strategy Team is recruiting participants for the ‘2020 Academic Year Employment Success Academy’ until the 27th and will run the program for one month starting next month.
The ‘2020 Academic Year Employment Success Academy’ is a program reflecting the results of employment-related demand surveys for students, where recruitment experts provide application forms, self-introduction letters, NCS learning, and interview consulting in four stages.
So far, Chosun University has recognized the needs of students preparing for employment and has conducted several demand surveys and collected suggestions to operate programs that provide practical help.
In the ‘2019 Academic Year Career Employment and Start-up Job Search Activity Education Demand Survey’ conducted from November 27 to December 11 last year targeting 2,270 enrolled students, respondents preferred ‘government agencies’ the most and answered that NCS special lectures, self-introduction letter, and interview consulting were necessary.
Also, in the suggestions of the ‘2019 Academic Year 2nd Semester Faculty CQI Report,’ there was a demand to supplement the insufficient employment support for students in university lectures through special lectures by external instructors and online lectures.
In the ‘2019 Job Consulting and Target Company Analysis Contest Result Report,’ the most desired type of employment company was public enterprises (42.26%), and requests were made for self-introduction letter correction, job training, and NCS education.
Accordingly, Chosun University planned the ‘2020 Employment Success Academy’ reflecting the selection and response strategies for large company job positions and the recruitment process based on public enterprise NCS according to student demands.
This program is composed of small group step-by-step education.
In Step 1 (STEP1), online lectures on job understanding, application form writing methods, interview response strategies, and NCS basic vocational competency evaluation problem-solving are conducted.
Step 2 (STEP2) conducts individual NCS mock tests based on the NCS learning of Step 1 to prepare for the actual exam.
In Steps 3 (STEP3) and 4 (STEP4), time is spent improving interview confidence through personalized face-to-face application form consulting and non-face-to-face interview type practice feedback.
At this stage, recruitment experts from Korea’s top 30 group companies, who are currently also participating as external interviewers for public enterprises, participate in large numbers.
