Jeonnam Children's Meal Support Center Conducts 'Banggu-seok Challenge' to Overcome COVID-19
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Dongshin University announced on the 24th that the Jeonnam Children's Meal Management Support Center (Director Professor Noh Heekyung) conducted the 'Banggu-seok Challenge' to overcome COVID-19 around the university main gate and Bitgaram Lake Park area in Bitgaram-dong, Naju-si on the 24th.
The Jeonnam Children's Meal Management Support Center is commissioned and operated by the Department of Food and Nutrition at Dongshin University.
Considering the difficulty of conducting face-to-face education due to the extended closure period of daycare centers and kindergartens caused by COVID-19, the event distributed 'Health Kits' to member facility families so they could conduct nutrition and hygiene education at home.
The Health Kits consisted of hygiene items such as ▲mushroom growing kits ▲clay soap making kits ▲hygiene and nutrition activity sheets ▲toothbrushes, children's disposable masks, and cleaning brushes for children's educational activities.
To participate in social distancing, applications were accepted through the chat window after adding the KakaoTalk Plus Friend, and the Health Kits were distributed via drive-through.
Initially, the plan was to distribute to 150 families registered with member facilities, but due to continued pre-registrations, the support target was doubled to supply 300 families.
The center plans to increase participation at home by awarding a 'Cesco Hygiene Package' through a lottery to those who send certification photos of educating their children using the Health Kits.
