Citizen Group Files Criminal Complaint Against Oh Keo-don for Sexual Harassment of Female Employee Leading to Resignation
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don]Oh Keo-don, the mayor of Busan who admitted to forcibly molesting a female public official and abruptly resigned, has been accused by a civic group.
The Committee for the Protection of the Common People announced on the 24th that it filed a complaint against Mayor Oh with the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office on charges of molestation by abuse of authority and abuse of power.
In the complaint, the group stated, "Mayor Oh ruined the life of a female public official through inappropriate behavior but has not shown any self-reflection or issued an official apology, instead only offering excuses," adding, "We could not stand by as this wrongful practice, which goes against the flow of the times, takes root, so we submitted the complaint."
