Opening of Guro 1st Street, Guro-gu Policy Proposal Platform
Proposal, Discussion, and Execution Processes Integrated into a Single System... Establishment of an Online Communication Channel
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) has launched an online policy proposal platform called ‘Guro 1st Street’.
On the 24th, Guro-gu announced that it established an online communication channel to expand residents' opportunities to participate in district administration and to reflect diverse opinions in the policy decision-making process.
‘Guro 1st Street’ is a one-stop platform that integrates resident proposals, discussions, and implementation processes into a single system.
When residents post improvement plans regarding various systems or local issues, any resident can express their opinion by clicking the sympathy button on the proposals.
Proposals that receive more than 50 sympathies are brought to public discussion. Specific implementation plans and scopes are discussed, and votes are held to decide for or against them.
After the discussion ends, the district office responds regarding the final adoption of the proposals and promotion plans, and also discloses the detailed implementation process and results.
The ‘Guro 1st Street’ site can be accessed by entering https://www.guro.go.kr/guro1st/index.do in the web browser address bar or through the district office homepage. Participation is possible via mobile phone or i-PIN identity verification or social login without separate membership registration.
Guro-gu expects that with the unification of previously dispersed resident proposal channels into ‘Guro 1st Street,’ residents will find it more convenient to use and that efficient management of proposals will be possible.
To actively promote ‘Guro 1st Street’ and encourage resident participation, Guro-gu will hold the ‘Find the King. Wang. Jjang’ event until July. Each month, residents who demonstrate outstanding activities in proposal, discussion, and promotion fields will be selected and awarded gift certificates, coffee coupons, and more.
