View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The National Fire Agency announced on the 22nd that the written exam for the 2020 new firefighter recruitment, postponed due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), will be held on June 20.
This firefighter recruitment exam is the first recruitment test conducted after the transition of firefighter status to national public officials, with 2,984 open recruitment positions and 4,844 career recruitment positions, and a total of 52,721 applicants are expected to take the exam.
This year's exam was originally scheduled for March 28 but was temporarily postponed and will now be held after about three months.
The National Fire Agency plans to conduct the exam under thorough quarantine measures according to the guidelines provided by health authorities, including pre- and post-exam site disinfection, mandatory mask-wearing for supervisors and examinees, temperature checks on the exam day, and separate exam rooms for symptomatic individuals.
The revised exam schedule will be announced on the websites of each city/province and fire headquarters.
