[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said on the 21st (local time), "This weekend, we will announce the plan to ease the lockdown related to the novel coronavirus and explain the details," adding, "This plan will be implemented from the 4th of next month."
Prime Minister Conte stated this through his social network service (SNS) on the same day, saying, "We will thoroughly analyze the easing plan and review all the details."
Previously, Italy had maintained lockdown measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 since the 9th of last month. After several extensions, the lockdown order has been extended until the 3rd of next month.
