Coupang "Fair Trade Commission Notifies No Legal Violations in Cleanwrap Lawsuit"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Coupang announced on the 21st that it received a notification from the Fair Trade Commission stating that there was no violation of the law regarding the Fair Trade Act violation allegations filed by Cleanwrap.
Cleanwrap filed a complaint with the Fair Trade Commission last July, claiming that Coupang violated the Fair Trade Act by stopping transactions with its agency after rejecting a direct transaction proposal. However, the Fair Trade Commission recently decided that "it is difficult to see that Coupang's order suspension caused disadvantages to the agency, so it did not violate the Fair Trade Act."
