Suncheon City Extends Special Discount Sale Period for Suncheon Love Gift Certificates
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 21st that it will extend the period of the 10% special discount sale of Suncheon Love Gift Certificates, which was originally scheduled to be implemented temporarily for one month, by an additional four months until June.
The city initially planned a special discount sale limited to 3 billion KRW from the 16th of last month, but decided to extend the special discount sale period until June 30th in response to the prolonged economic downturn caused by COVID-19.
Including the already issued 3 billion KRW until June, the city plans to issue an additional 2 billion KRW around the 20th of this month, 4 billion KRW in May, and 3 billion KRW in June, supplying a total amount equivalent to 12 billion KRW.
The Suncheon Love Gift Certificates are sold at 48 branches including Nonghyup Bank in Suncheon city, Suncheon Nonghyup, Horticultural Nonghyup, Livestock Cooperative, and Dairy Cooperative. Individuals can purchase them with cash at a 10% discounted price within a monthly limit of 500,000 KRW and an annual limit of 6 million KRW.
Suncheon City plans to utilize auxiliary personnel to visit shopping districts to manage existing affiliated stores and recruit new ones so that all small business owners in the area can register as Suncheon Love Gift Certificate affiliated stores and provide friendly service to gift certificate users.
Affiliated store registration is available to small business owners of all industries except (quasi) large-scale stores, entertainment bars, gambling game establishments, and directly operated stores headquartered in other regions. Applications can be submitted at the Suncheon City Hall Regional Economy Division and 48 Suncheon Love Gift Certificate sales points (local Nonghyup Bank branches, Suncheon Nonghyup, Livestock Cooperative, Horticultural Cooperative, Dairy Cooperative).
