Daegu Hwawon Amusement Park, Nakdong River Waterfront Reborn as 'Tourism Land'
Following the first phase of infrastructure projects after July groundbreaking, the second phase of building projects will be completed in 2023
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The project to develop the area around Hwawon Amusement Park in Seongsan-ri, Dalseong-gun, Daegu, into a tourist resource is being actively promoted.
On the 21st, according to Daegu City and Dalseong-gun, regarding the development project for the area around Hwawon Amusement Park, which was designated and announced as Daegu City's second tourist site in May last year, Daegu City will take charge of the first phase, and Dalseong-gun will proceed with the second phase.
The first phase project will be promoted in connection with the "Nakdong Garam Riverside History Nuri-gil Creation" project, which will invest about 31.2 billion won from July this year to December next year. This project aims to create cultural, tourism, and art spaces such as an ancient tomb park, ancient tomb exhibition hall, observatory, and food town by utilizing natural and ecological resources over an area of 77,338㎡ around Hwawon Amusement Park.
Based on this first phase project, Dalseong-gun will build a tourist hotel, natural healing center, art park, and children's theme park themed on "nature and historical culture experience, healing and therapy." This second phase project will cost 48 billion won, with construction starting around May 2021 and completion scheduled for December 2023.
