Kyowon Group Launches 'AI Innovation Center'... "Presenting Future Business Directions"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] Kyowon Group announced on the 21st that it will launch the 'AI Innovation Center' to establish an artificial intelligence (AI) service and big data analysis environment and strengthen its digital new technology capabilities.
The newly launched AI Innovation Center is an innovation organization leading the AI transformation across all business areas of the group, including education and lifestyle culture, services, e-commerce, and research and development. It is a place to develop and verify the application of AI-based new businesses and technologies. The center will establish an organic cooperation system with each business division and the Information Technology (IT) Center, securing proactive and sustainable growth engines in the AI and big data industries while presenting the direction for future businesses.
In particular, it will be fostered as a core hub leading open innovation as the group's AI control tower. To innovate customer-centric value, the center plans to proactively introduce the most suitable digital new technologies for the group and transform business methods and organizational culture.
At the AI Innovation Center, while completing a big data analysis platform based on accumulated data, AI technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) will be integrated based on customer information to provide human-centered intelligent customized services. As a leading company in the edutech field, the center is also conducting product development based on AI technology and collaborating with startups to strengthen competitiveness.
Additionally, through the currently developing 'AI Tutor (tentative name),' it will offer optimized class progress, learning management, and AI analysis-based diagnostics to learning solutions tailored to individual learners. It also plans to provide educational environment creation services that can enhance learning immersion through learner pattern analysis.
To achieve these plans, Kyowon Group has recruited key personnel and reorganized its structure. An external expert with expertise and execution capability in the AI solution field was appointed as the head of the AI Innovation Center. A dedicated organization called the 'Data Tech Lab,' equipped with data analysis and management capabilities, was separately established. The lab will promote big data analysis and the discovery and acquisition of AI technologies.
