Gwanak-gu Implements Project for Local Settlement of Venture and Startup Companies
Actively Discover Products, Content, Programs, and Services Linked to Existing Projects... Establishing a Foundation for Corporate Growth and Stability, Contributing to Regional Economic Revitalization
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) is implementing the 'Venture and Startup Company Regional Settlement Project' to establish a foundation for stable and sustainable growth of venture and startup companies within the region.
Since the launch of the 7th local government, the district has been operating various capacity-building programs aimed at building a venture startup ecosystem through supporting the growth and regional settlement of diverse startup companies, including ▲establishing startup infrastructure ▲providing commercialization support funds ▲festivals to foster venture culture ▲startup forums ▲and demo day events.
Furthermore, from a long-term perspective, recognizing the urgent need to establish a sales base for the growth and survival of companies, the district planned this project to discover and support companies that can be linked with district projects.
When a company submits a proposal, the receiving department will conduct a preliminary review of the possibility of linkage with district projects, public interest, and feasibility, then transfer it to the business department for in-depth secondary discussions to actively reflect and promote it in the project.
Any venture or startup company in the district developing products, content, programs, or services that can be linked with district projects can apply at any time. Applicants can download the application form from the Gwanak-gu Office website (News & Notices → Announcements), fill it out, and submit it in person to the Job Venture Division or via email (nulli@ga.go.kr).
In fact, in March, the district collaborated with startup companies residing in the Nakseong Venture Startup Center to implement the 'Gwanak Smart Aging Senior Project' as the '2020 City-District Upward and Cooperative Job Creation Project.'

Through this, it is expected to achieve a triple effect by increasing sales of local companies, creating jobs related to project operation, and improving the quality of life for the elderly population.
Mayor Park Junhee said, “I believe the continuous growth of startup companies is the driving force behind regional economic development,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure this project becomes a stepping stone for companies to pioneer new markets and for Gwanak-gu to grow together with them.”
