[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon) announced that it is providing support for fixed costs such as rent and labor expenses to small business owners and franchise operators who are suffering losses due to visits by COVID-19 confirmed cases.
The support targets small business operators and franchise operators such as convenience stores, PC rooms, and restaurants, excluding large corporation directly managed stores, who have been affected by visits from COVID-19 confirmed cases. For small businesses, those in manufacturing, mining, construction, and transportation industries with fewer than 10 regular employees, and other industries with fewer than 5 employees, are eligible for support.
The district calculates fixed costs such as rent and labor expenses incurred for a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 5 days to minimize losses from business closures, providing up to 1.95 million KRW per store.
Eligible business owners can apply by visiting the 11th floor Regional Economy Division of Geumcheon-gu Office with the support application form, small business confirmation certificate, lease contract, withholding tax payment report, franchise contract (for franchise operators), consent form for personal information processing, bankbook copy, and ID card by April 24, or submit these documents via email (sypark0824@geumcheon.go.kr).
The application form can be downloaded from the ‘Geumcheon News’ section on the Geumcheon-gu website (www.geumcheon.go.kr).
