Confirmed cases: male in his 20s in Mapo-gu, male in his 80s in Gangseo-gu
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] As of 6 PM on the 20th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul increased by 2 from midnight to a total of 626.
On the morning of the 20th, 2 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were identified in Mapo-gu and Gangseo-gu, Seoul. The number of new confirmed cases in Seoul had been zero the previous day but was broken after just one day.
In Mapo-gu, a man in his 20s living in Donggyo-dong was confirmed as the 23rd patient on that day. This patient arrived at Incheon Airport from the United States on the afternoon of the 18th and moved to his home around 6 PM.
At around 1:50 AM on the 19th, he visited Ministop Hongdae Entrance Station without wearing a mask, although the clerk was wearing a mask. On the afternoon of the 19th, he was tested at the Mapo-gu screening clinic by car, and on the morning of the 20th around 9 AM, he tested positive and was transferred to Seoul Red Cross Hospital around 1:30 PM.

The 26th confirmed case in Gangseo-gu is a man in his 80s residing in Haeundae-gu, Busan, who was staying at his child's house in Gayang-dong when he was diagnosed. On the afternoon of the 19th at 3 PM, he visited Seoul National University Hospital by car for medical treatment, was tested at the screening clinic, and then returned home at 4 PM. On the morning of the 20th at 9 AM, he tested positive and was transported by ambulance to Seoul National University Hospital. The family is currently under self-quarantine, and disinfection of the residence and surrounding areas has been completed.
