Ulsan Port Authority, Early Deployment of Social Contribution Fund to Overcome COVID-19
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jucheol In] Ulsan Port Authority announced on the 20th that it will inject 121 million KRW of social contribution funds early to revitalize the local economy, which has been contracted due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
This measure is to execute 91% of the social contribution budget that can be spent within this month to help revitalize the local economy.
Ulsan Port Authority will purchase seafood worth about 36 million KRW for local fishing communities and small fisheries businesses struggling due to a sharp decline in consumption, and deliver it to 927 vulnerable people practicing social distancing.
In addition, 15 million KRW worth of Onnuri gift certificates and Ulsan payment will be provided as family care support funds to 100 single-parent families and facilities housing children with disabilities in the region. Go Sanghwan, President of Ulsan Port Authority, said, "As a public institution, we will participate in efforts to overcome COVID-19."
