[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan) announced that it will begin distributing Jeonnam-type COVID-19 emergency living expenses starting from the 20th.
The first recipients are 107 households selected from those who applied starting from the 7th. The payment amounts are 300,000 KRW for 1-2 person households, 400,000 KRW for 3-4 person households, and 500,000 KRW for households with 5 or more members.
Support targets are notified via text messages in the respective towns and townships, and the deadline for receiving the funds is August 31. Heads of households notified as recipients can collect the funds at the local Nonghyup branch in their resident registration area.
If a household member collects on behalf of the head, a proxy receipt confirmation form must be presented at the respective town or township office.
Applications for Jeonnam-type COVID-19 emergency living expenses will be accepted until the 29th of next month, with 13,144 households in the jurisdiction having applied so far.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the town or township office, online through the Haenam-gun website, or by mail.
Eligible applicants are those with a standard median income at or below 100%. The selection criteria require that regional health insurance subscribers pay a health insurance premium of 85,837 KRW or less for a 2-person household.
For workplace insurance subscribers, dependents of workplace insurance, or those not paying premiums, the health insurance premium must be 100,050 KRW or less for a 2-person household, and the property evaluation amount must be 161.6 million KRW or less.
The county is processing applications sequentially from receipt, electronic registration, investigation, to benefit determination, and plans to make every effort to provide support as quickly as possible to the remaining eligible applicants.

We are making every administrative effort to ensure payments are made as quickly as possible, and once confirmed as recipients, notifications are sent via text from the towns and townships.”
