Prosecutors Indict COVID-19 Patient Who Spat at Ambulance Driver
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] A man in his 20s who tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and spat at a public health center employee driving an ambulance has been brought to trial.
The Women's and Violent Crimes Division of the Daegu District Prosecutors' Office Western Branch (Chief Prosecutor Jeong Jae-hyun) indicted A (22) without detention on charges of obstruction of official duties and attempted injury on the 20th.
A was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on the morning of February 28 and was transported to a hospital by ambulance for hospitalization. Upon arrival at the hospital, A is accused of spitting at the ambulance driver, claiming the driver had driven recklessly.
