Chungnam, Special Support for Blind Spots in Emergency Living Stabilization Fund Assistance
[Asia Economy (Naepo) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province is launching a special support program for workers who have been left out of the emergency living stabilization fund support.
The province announced on the 20th that it will implement the "Regional Employment Response Special Support" project targeting local workers excluded from the Chungnam emergency living stabilization fund support.
The special support was prepared for workers who applied for the emergency living stabilization fund support but were excluded due to income criteria, leaving them in a blind spot.
The eligible recipients are workers who have taken unpaid leave for 5 days or more at workplaces with fewer than 50 employees since February 23, as well as special-type employment workers such as insurance planners and freelancers who have not worked for 5 days or more.
However, the province explained that high-income earners with an annual income of 70 million KRW or more, spouses of business owners, and blood relatives or relatives within the fourth degree of kinship are excluded from the support.
The support amount is up to 500,000 KRW per person per month, and recipients can receive support for up to 2 months. The necessary funds will be covered by an additional 10.5 billion KRW in national subsidies secured.
The application period is divided into the first round until the 29th of this month, and the second round from the 11th to the 20th of next month. The first round applicants are workers who took unpaid leave from February 23 to March 31, and the second round targets workers who were unable to work during this month.
Workers can apply through their employer, who submits applications collectively to the city or county where the workplace is located. Special-type employment workers and freelancers must submit individual applications with supporting documents and evidence.
