Among Busan mother and daughter confirmed cases, father visited Gimhae restaurant and Haman parents' house
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The movement paths of a father and daughter who were consecutively diagnosed with COVID-19 in Busan have caused concerns to spread to Gyeongnam Province.
On the 20th, Gyeongnam Province confirmed in a COVID-19 response briefing that the father, Mr. A (58), a staff member at a high school in Busan and a member of a church in Gangseo-gu, and his daughter, Ms. B (25), a nurse at Busan Medical Center, tested positive for COVID-19 the previous day.
Accordingly, Busan City cohort-quarantined the ward at Busan Medical Center where the nurse worked, and closed the high school where the father worked as well as the church where the Easter service was held.
Mr. A attended a church service at a church in Gangseo-gu, Busan on the 12th, visited a restaurant in Gimhae, and on the 15th visited his parents' house in Haman, resulting in a total of 46 contacts.
The province immediately placed these contacts under self-quarantine and conducted COVID-19 tests, with 6 testing negative. The remaining contacts are still undergoing testing.
