Sejong City Fully Cancels This Year’s Children's Day Events
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City announced on the 20th that it will completely cancel the '2020 Children's Day event' scheduled for the 5th of next month.
Until now, the city has held Children's Day events every year at Sejong Lake Park, including various performances.
However, this year, considering the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and the vulnerability of children, the main target of the event, to COVID-19 infection, the city explained that it decided to fully cancel the event.

Kim Jong-rak, head of the Child and Youth Division of the city, said, "It is unfortunate to cancel the Children's Day event due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation," and added, "We ask citizens to participate in social distancing so that COVID-19 can end as soon as possible."
