Employees' Remote Work Period to Be Extended
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Jeju Air announced on the 20th that it will provide personal hand sanitizers to all domestic passengers departing from Gimpo until May 5th to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The company explained that this is part of the government's announcement the previous day to extend 'social distancing,' aimed at raising awareness of personal hygiene and supporting safe travel for passengers who must travel domestically for business trips or other unavoidable reasons.
The hand sanitizer provided by Jeju Air is a single-use product from 'Lapsin,' a hygiene specialty brand of its affiliate Aekyung Industrial. The volume is 1.5g, containing 62% ethanol, making it permissible to carry on board according to relevant regulations. It will be distributed at Jeju Air boarding gates, with one sanitizer provided per person upon ticket verification.
