Jo Ganghwa (Lee Gyu-hyung) is confused by Cha Yuri's (Kim Tae-hee) words that she will give up reincarnation because if she lives, Seo Woo (Seo Woo-jin) will see ghosts for life. When Jo Ganghwa shouts, "You said you could live, Yuri!" Cha Yuri draws a line, saying, "This is my problem." She continues, "You did everything you could, Ganghwa. Thank you," adding, "I wanted to stay only for 49 days so I wouldn't leave you with guilt, but you found out everything."
Meanwhile, Midongdaek (Yoon Sa-bong) realizes that the reason Cha Yuri reincarnated was because of Jeon Eun-sook's (Kim Mi-kyung) desperate prayer, "I just want to see my daughter once."
Jo Ganghwa tries to persuade Cha Yuri, saying, "No matter how much I think about it, this isn't right. There must be a way. I'll find it," but Cha Yuri coldly replies, "There is no way." She mentions Seo Woo being trapped in the freezer and emphasizes, "I almost really died." She calmly says, "I was already dead anyway. It's strange that I'm alive here like this." Then she says coldly, "Sorry."
Midongdaek tells Cha Yuri that it was her mother Jeon Eun-sook's wish that saved her. Realizing she reincarnated because of her mother's love, Cha Yuri says, "I will definitely go up," adding, "But I will spend the remaining time well before I go."
When Cha Yuri says she will leave without reincarnating, Go Hyun-jung (Shin Dong-mi) stops her, saying no. But Cha Yuri says, "Help me. I want to go smiling. Please send me off well," and Go Hyun-jung cries, asking, "Are you really going?"
Seeing Jo Ganghwa unable to regain his composure at the columbarium, Midongdaek advises, "If you spend time like this now, you'll regret it later." When Jo Ganghwa asks if there is a way for Cha Yuri not to go, Midongdaek answers, "Seo Woo will see ghosts for life." Hearing this, Jo Ganghwa pleads, "I'll see ghosts instead. No, I'll go up instead of Yuri." However, Midongdaek says, "Sending someone off well when they leave is also a courtesy to that person."
Cha Yuri holds onto Oh Min-jung (Go Bo-gyeol), telling her not to go. When Oh Min-jung replies as if giving up, "Your sister came. Seo Woo's real mother came," Cha Yuri persuades her, "I have to go. Seo Woo and Ganghwa can't do without you." Oh Min-jung asks Cha Yuri, "Don't you hate me?" and Cha Yuri replies, "Why would I hate you? Seo Woo likes you the most," expressing gratitude toward Oh Min-jung instead.
Jo Ganghwa visits Jeon Eun-sook at the temple she often goes to. Jeon Eun-sook says she dreams every day without fail of Yuri bowing to her and says that when the moment of true farewell comes, "I have to send my daughter off with a smile."
When Jo Ganghwa says "Thank you" to Oh Min-jung, she says, "You're finally opening your heart," and sincerely says, "Send Cha Yuri off well. Do everything you can."
Cha Yuri calmly tells Jo Ganghwa, "Thank you for loving me so much. That alone is enough." Jo Ganghwa replies, "Thank you for leaving Seo Woo behind." Cha Yuri emphasizes, "Live happily, and when you think of me, don't hurt, don't be sad, but smile." Jo Ganghwa promises to do so. They hug, and he adds, "I will remember well. I will keep only the happy memories."
