Two Additional COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Gangnam-gu... Total 621 Cases in Seoul
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] As of 10 a.m. on the 17th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the cumulative number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) increased by 2 from the previous day to 621.
The 2 new patients reside in Gangnam-gu and were confirmed positive the day before. Among them, a 20-year-old male had been in self-quarantine after his family, who returned from Portugal, was confirmed positive on the 2nd. However, he tested positive in an additional test conducted on the 15th, just before the end of his quarantine, and was transferred to Seoul Medical Center.
The other confirmed case, an 11-year-old girl, recently arrived from the United States and was diagnosed positive on the 16th, after which she was admitted to Boramae Hospital.
Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Seoul increased by 2 from the previous day to 621. Among them, 268 patients have been declared recovered and discharged, while 351 are receiving isolation treatment.
