Gyeonggi Fire Department, Average 268 Dispatches per Day Due to COVID-19
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters reported that it responded to an average of 268 dispatches per day due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters announced on the 16th that from January 24 to the 16th of this month, a total of 22,322 ambulance dispatches were recorded over 83 days due to COVID-19. This amounts to an average of 268 dispatches per day.
Among them, 3,289 people underwent diagnostic tests due to suspected symptoms. Additionally, 18,692 patients showing COVID-19 related symptoms such as high fever were transported to medical institutions. Among these, 330 were confirmed cases.
The Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters is actively responding to end COVID-19 by promoting preventive activities such as manufacturing and storing quarantine supplies like masks. They have also established and are adhering to special duty guidelines for public officials, including strengthening social distancing.
