On the midnight of the 15th, when his defeat was certain, Ji posted on his blog, "To my beloved wife who has supported and believed in me despite my shortcomings, all the staff, party comrades, and residents, I love and thank you."
Shim Eun-ha actively participated in the election campaign to help Ji's victory in this general election. She wore a pink jumper with the phrase "Ji Sang-wook's spouse" and campaigned alone, as well as directly encouraging people to vote.
On the 12th, she encouraged voters to vote through a phone voice message. In the message, Shim said, "Life has become difficult due to the COVID-19 situation, and as a mother raising two middle school daughters, I have also struggled a lot," emphasizing, "April 15 is the National Assembly election day to express the people's will, and your choice will change the Republic of Korea."
In the exit polls released by the three major broadcasters on election day, the 15th, Ji was predicted to narrowly defeat Park Sung-jun of the Democratic Party of Korea by 0.5 percentage points, but the actual counting results showed he lost to Park by 4.7 percentage points.
Meanwhile, Shim Eun-ha gained public recognition by appearing in MBC dramas such as "The Last Match," "M," and films like "Christmas" and "The Zoo Next to the Art Museum."
