Gyeonggi Office of Education Selects 'Video Contest Entries' Commemorating Sewol Ferry Disaster
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education announced 10 award-winning works of the 'Youth Video Contest,' held as part of the 6th anniversary memorial event for the Sewol ferry disaster, on the 16th.
The Youth Video Contest was open from the 16th of last month to the 8th of this month to elementary, middle, and high school students nationwide, as well as out-of-school youth, to promote Sewol ferry memorial and the spread of a safe school culture.
This contest received 89 various video contents including films, documentaries, public service advertisements, and other UCCs. The Gyeonggi Office of Education selected 10 award-winning works through judging, including "0416," "We Will Not Forget," "We Will Remember," "Please Remember," "Friends," and "Vaccination for Prevention of Safety Negligence."
The award-winning works will be uploaded online on the Gyeonggi Office of Education's website, Facebook, and blog, and will be used as educational materials in schools and other educational institutions.
However, the screening event for the award-winning works scheduled for the 25th was canceled due to COVID-19.
