'Stand-up' Choi Jae-woo: "Myeongrihak is a life weather forecast... A man born in 2001 will appear for Park Narae"
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] Actor Choi Je-woo revealed the story of how he became fascinated with Myeongrihak after actively working as a celebrity.
On the 14th broadcast of KBS 2TV’s ‘Stand Up,’ Choi Je-woo recalled his prime, saying, "When I was a teenager, I had 6 to 7 schedules a day, and I was so busy that I only slept 2 to 3 hours in the car." He added, "In my teenage years, I received awards through sitcoms and debuted as a singer, becoming a top contender alongside Sechs Kies and S.E.S," capturing the audience’s attention.
Choi continued, "I once met a Myeongrihak expert following a friend," and shared, "At that time, the Myeongrihak expert told me, ‘Why is a person who should have died in their 20s still alive?’"
He got angry and started questioning the expert, who instead repeated, "Why? Isn’t that so?"
Choi Je-woo explained, "It felt like I was hit on the head with a hammer at that moment. After that, I became deeply interested in Myeongrihak."
In the broadcast, Choi expressed his dedication to studying Myeongrihak. He said, "I studied Myeongrihak for 18 hours a day over 10 months. There were many times I collapsed and slept while reading books," and explained, "As a result of my studies, Myeongrihak is like a diary forecast of life. It warns you of dangers in advance."
Meanwhile, Choi Je-woo began to read Park Na-rae’s fortune on the spot that day. He said, "For Park Na-rae, a good man born in 2001 will appear this year," sparking viewers’ curiosity.
