[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] With the April 15 general election just one day away, the Democratic Party candidates in the Busan area are making every effort in their final intensive campaigns.
The Democratic Party Busan Election Countermeasures Committee held a press conference on the morning of the 14th at Songsanghyeon Square in Busanjin-gu, Busan, saying, "The Democratic Party candidates for the Busan general election stand here today with a desperate heart. Please unite your strength behind the Democratic Party candidates for the development of Busan," urging support.
All 18 Democratic Party Busan general election candidates gathered here to pay respects at the statue of Song Sang-hyeon and pledged, "We will inherit the indomitable will of Song Sang-hyeon, who fought against the advancing Japanese army that captured Busanjin Fortress, and overcome the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis."
They also emphasized, "Checks and balances are more important than anything else for Busan to leap forward and develop again," adding, "This general election is a choice between entrusting our future again to the past forces that created today's Busan or achieving a new leap through the capable ruling party candidates who will prepare for Busan's future for the next hundred years."
