View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Jaguar Land Rover announced on the 14th that it has developed and started producing face shields for medical staff at the Gaydon Advanced Product Development Center. This initiative supports addressing the shortage of medical equipment caused by the global spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) by leveraging Jaguar Land Rover's expertise in CAD design.
The face shields developed by Jaguar Land Rover are the only reusable face shields certified by the UK's National Health Service (NHS). The product is easy to wear and clean, and it is expected to protect medical staff at NHS secondary medical institutions from potential future supply shortages.
Through collaboration with companies such as Pro2Pro located in Telford, UK, the goal is to supply 5,000 face shields weekly to NHS secondary medical institutions providing regional medical services.
