China Reports 89 New COVID-19 Cases and 54 Asymptomatic Infections Added
[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Park Sun-mi] In China, 89 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 54 asymptomatic infections were added in one day.
On the 14th, the National Health Commission of China (NHC) announced that as of midnight, 89 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported. Among them, 86 cases were imported from overseas, and 3 new confirmed cases were reported in Guangdong Province.
Currently, there are 905 confirmed COVID-19 cases imported from overseas in China. Including these, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in China has reached 82,249. Among them, 3,341 have died and 77,738 have recovered and been discharged. Currently, 1,170 confirmed patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals. There are 72 suspected COVID-19 cases, all of which are imported from overseas.
Additionally, 54 new asymptomatic infections were added in one day. Excluding those who have converted to confirmed cases or have been treated and removed from the statistics, there are currently 1,005 asymptomatic infections under medical observation.

Meanwhile, outside mainland China, the Greater China region has reported a total of 1,447 confirmed cases: 1,009 in Hong Kong, 45 in Macao, and 393 in Taiwan.
