Pohang Hyeongsangang South-North Connecting 'Sangsaeng Indogyo' Pedestrian Bridge Construction Progress at 80%

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] As part of Pohang City's 'Hyeongsan River Project,' the Busan Regional Land Management Office has unveiled the Sangsaeng Pedestrian Bridge, which is 400 meters long and 5 meters wide.
According to Pohang City on the 14th, this bridge, which began construction in December 2016 as part of the river maintenance project, is the only pedestrian bridge connecting the south and north sides of the Hyeongsan River. Currently, it is 80% complete, including the installation of piers and the deck. The project involved a national budget investment of 15 billion KRW.

Pohang City expects that once the Sangsaeng Pedestrian Bridge construction is completed, it will become a popular walking course for citizens and, in connection with nearby resources such as the Eco Ecological Observatory, Jungmyeong Natural Ecological Park, Sinbu Fishing Market Park, Waterside Leisure Park, and Rose Garden, it will be reborn as a themed tourist destination where environment, ecology, and culture coexist.
