COVID-19 Field Department Daejeon Police Officer Found Dead... Investigation Underway on Overwork and Other Causes (Update)
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] A police officer in his 40s working in the field department for COVID-19 in the Daejeon area was found dead at his home.
According to the police on the 13th, Officer A was found at his home in Jung-gu, Daejeon, around 4:25 PM on the 11th.
Officer A was reportedly in charge of COVID-19 related duties at a police station in the Daejeon area until recently.
The police are currently investigating the exact cause of death, including whether overwork was a factor, while keeping open the possibility that Officer A took his own life.
