[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] One local employee working at Samsung Display's Bac Ninh factory in Vietnam tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), leading to the partial closure of the factory.
According to local media on the 13th, a male employee at Samsung Display in Bac Ninh, northern Vietnam, was confirmed to have COVID-19.
Samsung Vietnam Corporation explained that the confirmed case belongs to the quality inspection department at the Samsung Display Bac Ninh factory.
Accordingly, Samsung Display temporarily closed the building housing the quality inspection department at the Bac Ninh factory and is conducting disinfection work on the building and commuter buses. Additionally, employees who had close contact with the confirmed case have been quarantined.
