The Guro Military Land Honor Restoration Promotion Committee (Chairman Han Museop) donated 100 million won to Guro-gu Office on the 10th, saying, "Please use it for low-income vulnerable groups suffering from COVID-19."
The Guro Military Land Honor Restoration Promotion Committee is an organization established by farmers and bereaved families who lost their land to the government during the creation of the Guro Industrial Complex to restore their honor.
Jeong Chun-ran, CEO of Guryongpo Gwamegi, who has been providing free meals once a month to elderly people living alone for over 10 years, visited the Gaebong 3-dong Community Center on the 30th of last month and said, "It is unfortunate that I cannot volunteer for meal service due to social distancing. I want to offer a small help," and donated 1 million won.
Donations from local residents and companies also continued.
Employees of the Korea Testing Laboratory (Director Jeong Dong-hee) donated 11,339,000 won, the Guro-gu Home Daycare Center Association (Chairman Jin Soon-hee) donated 2.7 million won, seven professional organizations in Gocheok 2-dong donated 2 million won, the Guro-gu Sports Promotion Council (Chairman Hong Soon-cheol) and Gocheok 2-dong Saemaeul Geumgo (Chairman Seok Yong-sik) each donated 2 million won, Ilsin Plantec (CEO Ahn Byung-heon) donated 1 million won, the Army Officer Cadet Club Yemak (Chairman Kim Hae-gyeom) and Geumseong Human Resources Development (CEO Oh Jong-pil) each donated 500,000 won.
Donations of masks and quarantine supplies also continued.
With Asia (Chairman Choi Gyu-tae) donated 26,000 masks, the Financial Industry Public Interest Foundation (Chairman Min Byung-duk) donated 10,000 cloth masks and 100,000 filter packs, Hyundai Bio Medical (CEO Park Ho) donated 10,000 masks, the Korea-China Multicultural Cleaners Volunteer Group (Chairman Kim Young-hee) donated 3,000 masks and 1,500 filter packs, Samwon Collection (CEO Lee Won-jin) donated 1,170 handmade cloth masks, and the Guro Women’s Association Building a Hopeful World (CEO Lee Geun-mi) donated 400 handmade cloth masks.
The Gocheok 2-dong Guro Green Review Reading Group (Secretary General Jeong Mi-jin) donated 300 portable 60ml hand sanitizers, the Guro 4-dong Community Security Council (Chairman Kwon Woo-gi) donated rechargeable automatic sprayers, Gaebong 1-dong resident Kim Da-young donated four 10kg bags of white rice, and food manufacturer Food One INT (CEO Kim Ui-soo) donated 500 sets of seasoned vegetables and side dishes (worth about 10 million won).
Encouragement supplies for employees struggling with COVID-19 were also delivered to the health center.
