Among 610 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases in Seoul, 235 Are Overseas Entrants
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] In Seoul, 8 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have been reported, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 610. Although the daily increase in new cases has somewhat stabilized, infections among overseas entrants continue.
As of 10 a.m. on the 13th, Seoul city announced that the number of new COVID-19 confirmed cases increased by 8 compared to midnight the previous day. Among them, 6 were classified as related to overseas contact, all of whom had entered from the United States before being diagnosed.
One other individual was confirmed positive after contact with a confirmed patient at Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital in Gyeonggi-do, and the infection route of the remaining one has not yet been identified.
Accordingly, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Seoul has risen to 610. Among them, 394 are currently in isolation, and 214 have recovered and been discharged.

By cause of infection, overseas contact cases were the highest at 235. This was followed by 98 cases related to the Guro-gu call center, 41 cases related to Manmin Central Church, 20 cases related to a church and PC bang in Dongdaemun-gu, 8 cases related to caregivers in Dongdaemun-gu, 14 cases related to a hospital in Eunpyeong-gu, and 13 cases related to the management office of a residential-commercial complex apartment in Seongdong-gu, among others.
